500kV surge arrester adopts lightning protection components with tensile strength and anti-ice insulators in series. Under normal circumstances, the anti-ice insulators bear the operating voltage of the line. When lightning strikes, the lightning protection components are used to limit overvoltage and power frequency continuous current to prevent lightning tripping. It also has the functions of insulating support, lightning protection and anti-ice flash.
